Ingredients

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon fine sea salt
  • 2 sticks unsalted butter at room temp
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 ¼ cups brown sugar lightly packed
  • 2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 large eggs at room temperature
  • 2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
  • room temp pie shell from store

Instructions

  • Combine your flour, salt, and baking soda in a bowl.
  • Add your butter and sugar to a separate mixing bowl.

  • Cream your butter and sugars until a smooth consistency forms. This should take around 5 minutes and is important.

  • Add in your vanilla and your eggs one by one, mixing in between each.

  • Slowly add in your dry ingredients until just combined. Make sure not to over mix.

  • Add in your chocolate chips and combine for 10 seconds.

  • Wrap your dough in saran wrap and let rest in the ridge for ideally 24 hours but 1 hour will do as well.

  • Bring your dough to room temperature and place it in your pie crust.

  • Bake it in a preheated oven at 350F for 40-45 minutes depending on your oven.
