FAQ
Can I use chicken thighs instead of chicken breasts?
Absolutely! Chicken thighs will work just as well in this recipe. Keep in mind that they may require slightly longer cooking time due to their higher fat content.
Can I substitute milk for heavy cream?
While milk can be used as a lighter alternative to heavy cream, it may not yield the same creamy texture. For best results, stick to heavy cream or half and half for that luscious, velvety sauce.
Can I make this dish ahead of time?
While the chicken is best enjoyed fresh, you can prepare the sauce in advance and store it in the refrigerator for up to 2 days. Simply reheat the sauce gently on the stove before serving with freshly cooked chicken.
Can I freeze leftovers?
Yes, you can freeze leftover creamy garlic chicken for up to 2 months. Make sure to store it in an airtight container to prevent freezer burn. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator before reheating.
