Origins of Marry Me Chicken
In 2016, when Lindsay Funston was an editor at Delish, she created a recipe video for a Tuscan-style chicken dish that attracted millions of views. When she was done cooking, Ms. Funston’s video producer took a bite and declared, “I’d marry you for that chicken!” She named the dish “Marry Me Chicken.” The recipe then gained popularity after going viral on TikTok, where many users shared the recipe and claimed it will win over the heart of anyone you cook it for.
Whether it leads to a proposal or simply leaves you wanting seconds, one thing is for sure – this dish is a celebration of love, flavor, and the joy found in sharing a delicious meal with those you cherish.

Our Ingredients
Chicken: I’m using chicken breast but you can always use chicken thighs, tofu or salmon. If using thick chicken breasts make sure to cut them in half.
Parmesan Cheese: Make sure to freshly grate your parmesan cheese to avoid clumping in your sauce. If trying to avoid dairy you can use nutritional yeast: This is a swap for the cheese in this recipe. It’s a protein-packed seasoning that adds a cheesy, nutty flavor without any dairy!
Heavy Cream: The heavy cream is a must. Do not use single/light cream as that won’t thicken the sauce enough. You can use coconut milk if trying to avoid dairy but that will change the flavor a bit.
Sun-dried tomatoes: You can buy these jarred at most local grocery stores. Make sure to chop them for this recipe.
Chicken broth: If you have a homemade chicken broth then great! If not, you can use store bought. I would recommend low sodium since our cheese has salt. You cal also use chicken bouillon.
